A VOTE ON INDEFINITE DETENTION IS THIS WEEK

The 2012 National Defense Authorization Act allows the United States military to detain civilians indefinitely and without charge or trial -- even American citizens. Help us reverse this travesty of justice:

This application integrates with your Facebook account and allows you to spread word about indefinite detention by virtually "detaining" your friends.

We need to get the word out as far and wide as we can: This app will help us hack around the mainstream media, which has denied this issue the attention it deserves.

You choose which friends you want to "put in jail" and then we take their picture, put jail bars over it, and post it on their wall/timeline so they and their friends can see it. We also post basic info about indefinite detention, and a link to our contact-Congress form. It's sure to get your friends' attention.

In particular, we'll have the most impact if you detain any friends who have lots of friends of their own, celebrities' profiles, and especially any members of Congress or other lawmakers whose profiles you're friends with.

And we need as many people as possible to contact Congress (below) as a new vote on indefinite detention will take place THIS WEEK.

Learn More About the NDAA

1. Use this Facebook app to 'jail' your friends and spread word about the NDAA!

This is what your friend–and their friends–will see on their Facebook wall once they've been “detained.” They'll also receive a link to this app and info about how to fight indefinite detention.

2. Use the form below to tell congress to end indefinite detention.
